Bennamann makes the final cut at
The Renewable Energy Awards 2026

The Renewable Energy Association (REA) has unveiled the full list of finalists for the 2026 British Renewable Energy Awards (BREAs), with Bennamann making the shortlist in the low carbon transport category.

Renewable Energy Awards

Showcasing the Bennamann CAPCH4® fuel system that upgrades biogas from organic waste and agricultural residues into vehiclegrade biomethane (BioCNG) the solution provides a route out of volatile fossil fuel markets and towards genuine energy independence.

Trevor Hutchings, Chief Executive of the REA (Renewable Energy Association) said…

“As we mark the 21st edition of the British Renewable Energy Awards and celebrate 25 years of the REA, we are proud to celebrate the organisations and individuals driving the UK’s home-grown clean energy transition and move to a circular economy.

This year’s finalists reflect the expertise and determination shaping the future of the sector – particularly at this time of energy market volatility. Their work is not only accelerating the deployment of low-carbon solutions but helping to build a more secure and independent energy system for generations to come”

CAPCH4® comprises biogas upgrader, storage and forecourt-style dispenser. The patented technology features integrated gas drying and compression up to 250 bar enabling fast fuelling for gas-powered tractors and trucks for a circular on-site solution, and local fuel retail operations.

Renewable Energy Awards

Customers benefit from:

  • Generating fuel onsite and owning the full fuel supply chain
  • Combatting emissions and decarbonising transport operations
  • Generating incremental revenue streams through sales of renewable fuel
  • Reducing methane and CO2e emissions dramatically
  • Displacing diesel and HVO
  • Reducing operating costs with proven Bio-CNG vehicles available from IVECO for vans and trucks or New Holland for tractors

The marriage of Bennamann’s fuel system with New Holland’s methane tractors allows AD plant owners to harness the plant’s latent potential and upgrade biogas into biomethane, generating a better than net zero green gas, offering a circular economy and energy independence.

The awards will be held in London on 11th June.
